Cellomatics acquires new instruments to support expansion of preclinical in vitro work

Cellomatics BioSciences Ltd. remains a trusted partner in delivering pre-clinical in vitro data in areas of common medical interest including oncology, immuno-oncology, immunology, inflammation and respiratory. Our ability to provide high quality data to respected clients is a recognised asset of the company which we uphold by maintaining an updated repertoire of our in-house scientific equipment.

Cellomatics BioSciences Ltd. has recently invested in two pieces of equipment, The ImageXpress® Pico Automated Cell Imaging System and 2020 Attune NxT Flow Cytometer, to cater to the experimental needs of our expanding client network.

The ImageXpress® Pico Automated Cell Imaging System offers a powerful high-resolution imaging platform, accompanied by an array of analytical functionalities. The machine’s automated system captures both brightfield and fluorescent channels using pre-configured protocols thus minimising set-up time and enabling experiments to run quickly. The imaging process itself is non-invasive and occurs within a controlled cell culture environment.

Practical applications of the ImageXpress Pico Automated Cell Imaging System, as featured by the developers:

  • Apoptosis analysis
  • Cancer research
  • Cardiomyocytes
  • Cell counting
  • Infectious disease research
  • Digital confocal
  • Live cell imaging
  • Neurite outgrowth/tracing
  • Stem cell research

The research team’s increased feasibility to produce flow cytometry data was realised following the acquisition of the 2020 Attune NxT Flow Cytometer. This technology provides a robust, high-performance workflow that operates on a user-friendly interface whose use is suitable for experts and beginners alike. This device has been developed to accommodate various sample types and be processed in a swift but accurate manner.

Practical applications of the 2020 Attune NxT Flow Cytometer, as featured by the developers:

  • Suitable for samples such as large cell aggregates, low cell density and precious samples
  • Immunophenotyping
  • No-wash, no-lyse applications
  • Plants
  • Fluorescent protein detection
  • Stem cells
  • Cell health

With these newest company investments, we aim to strengthen our expertise for most molecular cell biology needs and cement our reputation as a steadfast scientific organisation.
