HBEpC-ALI COPD Model

The HBEpC-ALI model recreates the human bronchial epithelium at the air-liquid interface, complete with ciliated, goblet and basal cells upon differentiation. Exposure to cigarette smoke or inflammatory triggers, key hallmarks of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be replicated and studied. This reproducible, human-relevant model offers an ideal biomarker discovery and drug testing platform.
